College cutoff questions, answered.

What is the IIT cutoff for JEE Advanced?

An IIT cutoff is the opening and closing rank for a specific institute, program, category, gender pool and JoSAA counselling round. It is different from the JEE Advanced qualifying cutoff.

Which rank should I compare for IIT admission?

OPEN candidates should compare their Common Rank List rank. EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST candidates should compare the corresponding category rank shown on their JEE Advanced result.

Are the 2026 IIT cutoffs official?

Yes. The explorer uses official JoSAA opening and closing rank tables. The source link is included beside the results so every record can be verified.

Does a previous closing rank guarantee admission?

No. Historical cutoffs are evidence, not a guarantee. Allotment depends on your choice order, eligibility, seat availability and the ranks of other candidates.
